- Delhi Cabinet approved Lakshmi Yojana providing ₹2,500 monthly DBT assistance to over 17 lakh eligible women aged 21–60 with family income ≤ ₹2.5 lakh, with ₹5,110 crore budget for 2026–27 and registration starting 1 August 2026.
- Scientists discovered a new freshwater shrimp species, Caridina sharmai, in the Gomti River at Lucknow.
